Letter to Conference Speakers from GEO Executive Director

Dear GEO Speaker:

On behalf of Global Equity Organization, GEO, we would like to thank you for agreeing to speak at our first annual Conference 2000. The conference will take place in Orlando, Florida, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, beginning Sunday, March 19 through Wednesday, March 22. A total of 21 break-out sessions are scheduled along with presentations at two general session.

A schedule of events as well as a description of the presentations can be found on our web site: www.globalequity.org. Please review your presentation and let me know if you have comments or changes. Please call me promptly at the GEO office number (305) 220-0712.

Presentation: As a speaker, you are responsible for preparing your segment of the presentation and participating in the entire session. You will be provided with a powerpoint conference template that can be found on the GEO website as of February 7, 2000. Presentations and reference material must be submitted via e-mail no later than March 1, 2000. I will send you the e-mail address soon. Each breakout room will have the following audio-visual equipment: an overhead projector, an LCD projector and an easel with chart paper. Please let me know if you require anything further.

Registration and payment: Please register for the conference on the web site as soon as possible and select "pay by check" as your method of payment. Your conference fee will be waived. I remind you that all speakers at the GEO conference must be GEO members. If you have not done so already, you will be prompted to become a member at the time of your conference registration. Your membership fee is not waived. Speakers will have the availability shortly to review the names and companies of attendees who have registered for your workshop. Information regarding this will be posted on the speaker forum on the web site.

Travel: Your travel arrangements can be handled by Travel Network. You can reach Elsa or Mario from within the United States at 1-800- 228-6422 and from outside the United States you can call (305) 251-7700. You can also access the web site in the Conference 2000 registration section and fill out the travel request form.

We want to encourage you to access the Speakers Forum on our website at www.globalequity.org. Go to the Resources/Conference Information and Registration section and follow that to the forum. To gain access you must have the case sensitive username and password which will be provided to all speakers. I will use this forum to post notes regarding the conference. It will also give you and opportunity to read what other speakers have asked and to communicate with other speakers, especially those speaking with you..
