Description of Event
Never have equity plan professionals faced such significant concurrent issues – changes in stock plan accounting, sweeping US tax legislation, rebounding capital markets, an uncertain job market, cynicism about stock-based compensation – what are we going to do? That’s what everyone is asking us – the Board of Directors, management, the media, and our employees.

You’re invited to participate in an all-day workshop with your peers, led by a panel of leading experts in this field, to develop a nuts-and-bolts plan for addressing the questions all global stock plan professionals are facing today. Should we keep granting stock options? Or consider restricted stock? Or performance shares? Should we continue our ownership strategy? Will these new ideas work outside the US?

This unique gathering will cover the gamut from compensation design strategy to the details of accounting, tax, and securities rules on a global basis. It’s a lot of ground to cover in one day, and we have assembled just the team to help you do it.

This is not just another conference where you hear a series of speakers talk in generalities. You’ll leave this event with a detailed understanding of the alternatives, implications, and action steps required for effectively facing this challenge. Join your colleagues at this uniquely-structured event.

Throughout the day, panels will focus on a specific topic (restricted stock, performance shares, option modification). All sessions will be moderated, and following each discussion, a wrap-up session will provide workshop attendees a point-by-point discussion of the key issues raised in the prior discussion. Attendees will be asked to complete a worksheet on each of the various plans that provides a ‘take-away’ to thoroughly understand the issues they may encounter in using these types of plans (or considering the use of these plans).
