BOSTON CHAPTER MEETING - MAY 15, 2012 We're pleased to announce the next meeting of GEO's Boston Chapter and invite you to join us at the offices of KPMG in Boston for this exciting event OR choose to attend via webinar, details are posted below. TOPIC Cross-Functional Approach to Equity Management
H.R., Legal, Finance, Accounting, Tax and other departments each have a vested interest in the equity management process and often the roles and responsibilities can become blurred without the right coordination and communication between the stakeholders. This can lead to process inefficiency, potentially missed opportunities and risk. Consequently, it is essential that companies take a cross-functional approach with respect to developing best-practices of equity administration.
This session will take us through each stage of the equity administration process and examine the key issues and drivers that are critical from the point of view of each stakeholder involved. Understanding the interplay of these issues between each department throughout the life cycle of an award will provide you a vantage point to better set policy, process, organization and technology support.
Representatives from Analog Devices will join KPMG to share their experience and provide their perspective on: 1) the challenges they face 2) the specific areas prone to problems arising 3) how they tackle the issues 4) how best to coordinate and communicate with the various stakeholders 5) benefits achieved 6) lessons learned
SPEAKERS Ken MacNulty, Director, Worldwide Compensation, Analog Devices Jeff Carter, Senior Business Analyst, Finance, Analog Devices Ed Gibbons, Principal-Tax, KPMG LLP Victor Reyes, Principal-Advisory, KPMG PPL
