Anne C. Ruddy, CCP, CPCU, has been the President of WorldatWork since 1999. WorldatWork is the world's leading not-for-profit professional association dedicated to knowledge leadership in total rewards, compensation, benefits, and work-life. Founded in 1955, WorldatWork focuses on human resources disciplines associated with attracting, motivating and retaining employees. The WorldatWork family of organizations provides education, certification (Certified Compensation Professional – CCP®, Certified Benefits Professional® – CBP, Global Remuneration Professional – GRP® and Work-Life Certified Professional – WLCP™), publications, knowledge resources, surveys, conferences, research and networking.

Previously, Ruddy spent more than 20 years in the insurance industry.  Ruddy spent most of her 20 years in the insurance industry with Aetna. She climbed the corporate ladder at Aetna, working up from an underwriting trainee in 1975 to regional vice president of property/casualty operations in Illinois in 1991.   She left Aetna in 1994 to run the Arizona insurance brokerage operation of Alexander & Alexander Inc., but returned to Aetna the next year as a vice president to lead the creation and development of a new national strategic business unit dedicated to providing products and services to business association, franchise and affinity groups. Ruddy remained with the company through Aetna’s acquisition by Traveler’s, and the subsequent merger with Citibank. In 1999, she left Travelers to spend time in consulting operations in Arizona.

Ruddy earned her bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently pursuing CBP certification, and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arizona’s Children Foundation and on the board of Phoenix Body Positive.
