Fred introduces the topic by noting the uniquely American approach to dealing with perceived executive pay excesses and the interesting corollary to the American Revolution.  In the conversation with Alan Judes, they explore the similarities and differences between US and UK approaches to dealing with issues surrounding the amount of pay being delivered, the forms being used, and the processes for addressing the concern.  Are stock options good or bad?  Should performance contingencies be required for all-equity based pay?  What about severance and golden parachutes?  And who should be deciding all of this?  Is more information enough?  Perhaps the notion of cultural differences are just appearances, and we are getting to the same place on different paths, or maybe we really are headed in different directions.
