The agenda will include the following sessions:
- Institutional Investor Views
Marc Jobling from the Association of British Insurers will outline current investor attitudes to equity incentives and any changes proposed to the ABI Guidelines.
- Incentives in Financial Services
A panel discussion including Maliya Price of Old Mutual plc, Janet Cooper of Linklaters and Damian Carnell from Towers Perrin.
- The Future of Plan Design
Phil Wills of Reed Elsevier and Robert Head from Pearson plc will join a debate on predictions for equity plan design and regulatory involvement.
- Operating Plans Globally
Janet Cooper of Linklaters will lead a group of GEO Award winners including Gabbi Stopp of Pearson and Josephine Gomm of Logica plc who will present case studies on their experiences of operating global plans in the current economic climate.
- 2009 Budget Issues & Deferred Compensation
Lindsey Doud of RBC cees will lead a panel discussing the impact of the UK tax environment and the 2009 Budget on the design and operation of deferred and longer term compensation plans. Panelists will include Alan Judes of Strategic Remuneration and Judith Greaves of Pinsent Masons.
- Effective Communications for Global Equity Plans
Jay Foley of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney will host a discussion on this topic with Simone Barratt from BAE Systems and Francis O'Mahoney of BT.
- Global Hot Spots
Nicholas Greenacre of White & Case will lead a panel discussion on legal and tax developments affecting global incentive plans in the last year. Panelists will include Colin Kendon of Bird & Bird, who will address the latest developments in China, and Michael Whalley of Minter Ellison, who will explain the recent important changes in Australia.
- Option Exchange Programme
Shaun Bryant of Willis Group will discuss their Option Exchange Programme along with Maoiliosa O'Culachain of Global Shares.
