As a millennial who has studied all generations, Dan Schawbel understands what motivates them, and will share the most effective management practices and strategies that have worked for some of the world’s best companies. In this thought-provoking talk, Dan will provide a tell-all guide to successfully managing the four generations in today’s workplace as well as strategies for working with each generation and share his exciting predictions on what it will take to be successful in the ever changing workplace, from 2016 and beyond.

Keynote II - Navigating the Regulatory Overhaul

The regulatory landscape around the world is in the midst of unprecedented change. The scrutiny on companies, including their governance, compensation practices, and culture, is intense and is coming from all over—from regulators, politicians, and investors as well as proxy advisory firms and many other stakeholders. And, the end is not in sight. Join experts Troy Paredes, Former SEC Commissioner and Founder of Paredes Strategies LLC, and David Chun, CEO of Equilar, in this highly engaging and informative keynote session, as they explore the current regulatory and political environment to answer pressing questions such as:

  • What is currently going on at regulators, what are their concerns, and what are the implications for boards, corporate governance, and compensation professionals?
  • Why do policy makers worldwide focus so heavily on compensation practices?
  • Who influences who? How much do regulators look at the practices around the world when making decisions?
  • What exactly drives the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and how are decisions really made there?
  • The current status of rulemakings coming from the Dodd-Frank Act, such as pay for performance and pay ratio calculations, the motivations behind these new rules, and what they mean to you?
  • What is driving high profile regulatory global hot topics such as say on pay and gender pay gap disclosure and boardroom diversity?

These and other issues that will be addressed significantly impact you and your organizations. Understanding how the rules of the game are quickly changing, how regulators are enforcing the regulations, and what is driving the regulators is more important than ever. Hear the strategic viewpoints of these two experts in this highly engaging and informative keynote session and leave with a better understanding of this ever-changing area and what it means for you.
