Event Code of Conduct

GEO is committed to providing a harassment-free event experience for all attendees. We expect attendees to follow our Code of Conduct at all events. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status, as provided by local, state, or federal law;
  • sexual harassment including unwelcome attention, stalking and physical contact;
  • abusive conduct that has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with another person’s ability to enjoy or participate in the event, including social events related to the event; and
  • undue interruption of any event, speaker or session.

Conference Attire

Conference attire is business or business casual. Due to varying temperatures in the meeting rooms, it is recommended that you bring a jacket or sweater to all sessions.

On Wednesday, for the Vatican City Tour ladies MUST have covered knees and shoulders (no sleeveless tops) and men MUST have long pants and at least short sleeves. This event will require a great deal of walking on hard, marble and stone flooring and streets so ensure your shoes are comfortable.

Attire for the GEO Awards Dinner and Presentations is formal. Black tie, tuxedo or business suit is suggested for gentlemen and evening dress (long or short) or business suit for ladies.
