Keynote I - Confronting the Cybersecurity Challenge: Are You Prepared?

As the severity and frequency of cybersecurity attacks are rising and the techniques around them are getting bolder and more sophisticated, companies and individuals are struggling to grapple with this complex online threat that knows no borders. The near inevitability of an information-breach means organizations need to adjust to balance paradoxical demands for data protection and data accessibility for business growth.

Cybersecurity is top of mind in the boardroom. How do you as a corporate issuer or supplier need to be thinking about this topic as it applies to your company, plan participants and data that you house and transfer?

This important session will focus on key drivers impacting cybersecurity, including the current threat landscape and the role of the boardroom in cybersecurity. Mr. Plesco will outline the top cyber threats today and upcoming, he¹ll help decipher related fact from fiction, offer telling facts and figures around the issue and offer the very best practices to help you mitigate cyber security vulnerabilities at your company. Further, hear what role the board is playing (and should be playing) in addressing cybersecurity risk for companies, including why cyber fatigue is taking place in the boardroom and get some of the most important lessons learned from the top security breaches to date. Keynote III - The Culture Map: Breaking Through the Invisible Boundaries of Global Business

As today’s business world becomes ever-more global and virtual, executives and managers are expected to work harmoniously together with counterparts from a broad array of cultures and backgrounds, often without leaving their desks. But when you throw people together who come from starkly different backgrounds and cultures, the result can be interesting, even sometimes funny, but can also lead to misunderstanding and confusion.

In this talk, Erin Meyer offers a highly practical and timely perspective on one of today’s most pressing business issues: how do different cultures influence the way to do business when working globally? Even those who are culturally informed, travel extensively, and have lived abroad often have few strategies for dealing with the cross-cultural complexity that affects their team’s day-to-day effectiveness. Meyer provides a new way forward with vital insights for working effectively and sensitively with one’s counterparts in the new global marketplace. This talk will help you build a more cohesive and successful team: one that will work together to bridge gaps, transform differences into assets, and ultimately grow your business.
