Academic research often uses jargon and obscure statistical techniques that limit its accessibility to the broader public. This defeats the broader purpose of academic research, which is to advance knowledge and benefit practice. This session brings recent developments in academic research to today's professionals in a way that's easily understood and actionable. Get a better understanding of (1) how compensation design positively—and negatively, affects management behavior (2) how this behavior affects short and long-term firm performance and (3) how the findings of academic research can add value when designing a new compensation plan (or modifying an old one).
