ifs ProShare to host seminar on "Remuneration in the Financial Services Industry”

ifs ProShare, the voice of the employee share ownership industry in the UK, is hosting a seminar on the governance and regulations surrounding remuneration in the financial services industry.

The seminar will be presented by industry experts Janet Cooper, Partner, Global Head of Employee Incentives at Linklaters and Katharine Turner, Practice Leader, Executive Compensation UK, Towers Watson.

Phil Hall, a spokesman for ifs ProShare, said:

"There is widespread consensus that remuneration practices may have played a part in creating the financial crisis. The FSA have responded to this by issuing various requirements and guidance and it can be quite a complex area. Those who attend this seminar will gain a good understanding of what the FSA expects and how to implement effective pay structures in practice."

The expert led seminar will cover key topics such as the overall regulatory environment in the UK and the specific requirements of the revised FSA's Remuneration Code as well as the implications for design and governance of incentive arrangements.

The seminar takes place at ifs ProShare, Monument Street, London on Monday 27 June from 2.30 to 5.30pm.

"ifs ProShare is already on record as being a strong supporter of the Government's plans to ensure at least 10% of a privatised Royal Mail will be allocated to employees."
