The idea of “going global” with share plans took off in the late 1990’s and it has now become standard practice for multinational companies to put in place share incentives for employees outside their headquartered country. In this edition of our series of briefings of topical issues around global share plans, we look at whether plan rules have moved with the times and highlight some of the more “cutting edge” provisions that can give companies flexibility to make the operation and administration of their plans as smooth as possible.
