12.2 The Five W's of an Equity Program

Distilling an equity program down to its component parts can help you refocus your efforts and your motivation, and this panel of experts is here to help you do just that. The five W’s of an equity program are defined by the group as follows: Who: To whom do we grant? What: What do we grant? Where: Where do we grant? When: When do we grant? Why: Why do we grant? Added bonus: How! How do we grant? Using this framework, the panel will discuss the ins and outs of granting to a global population (with a particular emphasis on the why). These experts will also discuss how they made the determination of value in each specific area, and the impact on employees. It’s an engaging and fresh look at equity that will explore the basics of equity from a number of interesting perspectives.
