3.2 Keep It Simple

Companies often search for simplicity in their plan design with one global plan for all their participants. Free shares and RSUs are straight-forward enough, however, in real life nothing is as simple as it seems when it comes to implementing the plans. While examining tax and legal compliance requirements, communication and share plan administration, and local implementation issues, these panelists will share their own unique experiences of what on paper was a simple plan, and which turned out to be more complex than expected. The decision for a simple plan design is easy, ensuring that it can be implemented in all countries (as tax-efficiently as possible without changing the design) requires more thought and effort. You can't please everyone, but you can try (to keep it simple)!
