This program is designed for emerging leaders in the share plan industry. If you have a passion for global equity, leadership potential, and a commitment to continuous growth, this is the program for you.

We encourage those with some experience in global share plans who are ready to further develop their skills and connect with the global share plan community to apply. Through mentorship, a unique combination of networking and learning opportunities, we'll help you gain the experience, tools and support needed to excel in this complex field.

Applications for the program are open year-round, with an annual closing date of 1 August. The Future Leaders Selection Committee convenes every August to review applications and welcome ten new members to the program.

  • The program spans 18 months, starting in September and concluding at the next annual conference, which is held two years later

Applications are made online and welcomed at any time and are reviewed by the Selection Committee after 1 August each year. Applicants for the Future Leaders program must self-nominate and provide complete applications that includes the information listed below.

Personal statement

A statement about why you consider yourself suitable for the Future Leaders program (max 2,500 characters/approx. 500 words).


Your CV/resume or a capture of your LinkedIn page.

Sponsor statement

Addressed from a senior member of your current company, preferably a senior-level global equity professional who is currently a GEO member, a GEO Fellow and/or serves or has previously served on the GEO Board.

The Sponsor must be committed to supporting your attendance at GEO's Annual Conference.

Any other supporting information

This may include testimonials and any other documents that you feel would benefit your application.

Once submitted, an application cannot be changed. The selections are final and binding and at the discretion of the Committee. Nominees may apply in future years if they are not selected.
